Retro Blue Jays – Anne Murray performs at Skydome

Next week will mark the 25th anniversary of the Blue Jays playing their first game at Skydome. The next episode of DNJT (June 5) will celebrate this milestone.
In the meantime, here’s Anne Murray singing the anthems at that first-ever game, which ended in a 5-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Fergie Olver, BJ Birdy and Ernie Whitt also make small cameos.
Anne Murray has a significant role in the team’s history. In addition to Skydome’s first game, she also sang O Canada at the first-ever regular season game (a snowy April 7, 1977) and game three of the 1992 World Series – the first World Series game to occur outside the United States.
